Humanoid Robots

Humanoid robotics is AVAYO's top sponsorship priority. We want proposals that design and build humanoid robotic systems and the technologies inside them.

Projects showing original engineering development and real system integration, rather than assembling off-the-shelf kits, are especially encouraged and get priority consideration.

Applicants should

  • Be affiliated with a recognized university anywhere in the world.
  • Have a clearly defined engineering or technology project.
  • Have a faculty supervisor where applicable.
  • Show a capable project team.
  • Provide a realistic development plan.
  • Explain how the technology addresses a problem or opportunity.

Financial sponsorship

Funding for approved project activities, components, materials, prototyping and development.

Technical guidance

Engineering and industry-oriented guidance where appropriate.

Prototype support

Help developing and demonstrating working prototypes.

Industry exposure

Present selected projects to AVAYO management and technical teams.

Mentorship

Guidance on engineering development, productization and practical application.

Commercialization

Exceptional projects may be considered for further collaboration, industrial development or commercialization.

Sponsorship is not guaranteed. Each proposal is evaluated independently on technical merit, innovation, feasibility, relevance and available sponsorship resources.

    Reviewed with a structured technical and innovation scoring system.

  3. Shortlisting

    Promising teams may be asked for more information or a presentation.

  4. Selection

    Sponsorship decision and agreed development requirements.

  5. Development

    Build against agreed milestones and reporting.

  6. Demonstration

    Show the prototype, research outcome or technology.

  7. Future

    Exceptional projects may move to collaboration or commercialization.
